Reflect is a magazine that focuses on the idea of bringing Japanese fashion to the other side of the world. It features designers and upcoming Japanese trends in a very digestible way. When creating this magazine I wanted to create something that went against traditional design. My margins and text placement tried to push the limits of what could be done while still being easy to read. My images also tried to push the total contrast, by modifying the images or even running the text columns over certain images.
For this project, I created a 40 page magazine complete with advertisements and 3 cover stories. The magazine featured NIGO, Jun Takahashi and Chitose Abe.
